Beauty: Miners Cosmetics Strawberry Tin o'Tint..

Hey sweeties

If you've been reading Life of a Sweetaholic for some time now you'll know that one of my go to beauty brands has always been Miners Cosmetics, always has been and I think it always will be. One of my favourite products of theirs has got to be the Tin o'Tint's and epseically the Pink Grapefruit one as that is such a stunning baby pink shade. But I was sweetly surprised when a new gem dropped on my doorstep this week, welcoming a new addition in the form of Strawberry Tin o'Tint*.

Beauty: The Bathory Soothe Bath Soak..♥

Hey Sweeties♥

So over the last week or so I haven't been well at all I've come down with the dreaded flu and sickness bug all at once, so it's not exactly been the best time for me lately. I've had time off of work to just sleep it all off and get back to tip top shape and fitness.

Today I wanted to share with you a little gem that has been giving me such a smile when it comes to bath time and especially while I've not been too well. I want to introduce you all to The Bathory, this little online company lets you customise your very own bath soak how brilliant is that? I was very kindly offered my own bath soak* to trial out for the blog.

Lifestyle: Get the Blood Pumping with these Great Exercises..♥

Cardiovascular exercise will help your health and give you more energy day to day. You don’t have to attend an expensive gym to keep your heart in great working order. It’s easy to create the perfect workout environment in your very own home with a few simple exercises.

Easy blood pumping exercises

Start your fitness regime by doing something as simple as climbing the stairs rather than taking a lift. If you’re looking at new flats for sale as a result of downsizing, then see if you can find something on the second or third floor for some gentle exercise every time you come home.

The heart needs daily exercise in order to work, but you don’t have to run marathons to make it happen. Including exercise in your daily activities will make a big difference.

Little and often makes for a healthy heart

A good diet is a great compliment to an exercise regime. A recent article published by the BBC suggests that even if you engage in a short bike ride or go on a quick vigorous walk, you’ll help your heart and cut down the risk of heart attacks and strokes.

High Intensity Training (HIT) has been gaining attention lately as a great way for elderly people to get heart-healthy exercise. It involves short bursts of high intensity workouts. One of the leaders of this new survey, Dr Babraj suggests: “older people struggle to exercise as many are full time carers … HIT training would be easier to fit in.”

So if you’re able to run up a steep hill or take a short power swim, then do it!

More conventional ideas

Looking for something simple? A daily 20-minute walk will help your heart stay strong, as will a weekly swim. If you enjoy dancing, then do so – you can always join a class to add structure but even if you just dance around the house accompanied by your favourite music, you’ll have fun and you’ll be exercising your heart and body at the same time.

Start your day with exercise

Exercise is often the last thing on your mind when you wake up. Try a few stretching routines when you’re still in bed to shake away the cobwebs. Give your body a full stretch and then draw your knees up to your chest. Repeat this routine for several minutes and when you’re still lying flat, raise your legs to the air. These basic exercises will help your posture and, most importantly get the blood pumping around your body.

Lifestyle: Mini Break To Shrewsbury..♥

Hey sweeties

Long time no blog once again. I've not really had my blogging head on properly over the last couple of months I've either been so busy with work, out and about with the girls or just generally wanting a break from the blogging world. I am slowly going to come back to blogging and share lots of various posts with you all.

I've had a fair bit of annual leave from work over the summer so I've been spending it wisely and the week I had off for my birthday (yikes I'm now 24) I headed to see Gina for a nice 4 day break with her in Shrewsbury especially seeing as we hadn't seen each other for almost 2 months as well. Without a doubt it has been my highlight of the summer so far and we were originally going to have a nice chilled 4 days but we actually crammed so many things in I thought it would be blog worthy.
